The hottest “GILF” on television is the latest member of the Cover Girl family.
Sofia Vergara, star of ABC’s Modern Family, was announced as the newest face of CoverGirl on Wednesday, reports People Magazine.
This comes as no surprise to me, really. With Cover Girl’s diverse group of flawless spokesmodels, Vergara is the perfect addition to the bunch. The Modern Family star shared her dreams of becoming a Cover Girl with People, and expressed her pride in representing the Latina woman through her involvement.
“When you grow up, you look up to girls in the magazines, and you never think you’re going to be that pretty, or that well made-up, or that glamorous,” she tells People. “I love that I have the Latin flavor; Latin girls can relate to me, see what I’m wearing, see my makeup, my hairstyle.”
The Columbian actress wowed the English-speaking world in 2003 with her North American debut role in Chasing Papi. Since then, she and her Latina curves have made Sofia Vergara a household name. “Household” enough, even, for Cover Girl Cosmetics.
Vergara joins the beautiful Cover Girl bunch, which includes the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift, Queen Latifah, Drew Barrymore and, fellow Latina, Dania Ramirez. Vergara’s ads are set to debut in January of 2012.
