Melissa Etheridge filed paperwork Friday to dissolve her domestic partnership with Tammy Lynn Michaels and Tammy has now taken to her blog to work out her personal life in a public forum, claiming she was “blindsided” by Etheridge’s filing at this time.
The couple announced their separation in April and Michaels has since used her blog as a tool to publicly disparage Etheridge, accusing the musician of lies, infidelity and the so on…
Etheridge and Michaels held a commitment ceremony in 2003 and registered a domestic partnership in August 2005.
In 2006, Michaels gave birth to twins from an anonymous sperm donor.
According to court documents, Etheridge cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She is seeking joint custody of their 3-year-old children and asked the court not award Michaels financial support, according to People.

Not that we are taking sides, but since Etheridge knows she not only has to deal with the media but her ex publicly airing their dirty laundry, maybe that's why she's playing dirty pool.
