Tatiana Maslany is wearing her beliefs on her sleeve as she promotes her new show — or on her shirt, anyway.

Marvel released a featurette promoting She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to their YouTube channel, and fans have recently drawn attention to the top the show’s star opted to wear for her sit-down portion of the video — a long-sleeved white shirt that reads “Support Trans Futures.”

At a time when trans rights are being hotly debated in the United States, it’s a meaningful message regarding exactly where Maslany stands.

“I’m aware of what reach images like that have and I’m aware that there have been bills passed in Florida that Disney has been connected to in terms of providing money to [politicians that passed] anti-LGBTQ bills,” she told the LA Times.

“I know how little it costs me to do something like that. I’m incredibly privileged and I’m very fortunate to have the platform I do. And I’m very supportive of people who are fighting on the ground for LGBTQ rights. That community means a lot to me and if there’s any way that I can continue to voice my allyship then I’ll do it.”

The actor has previously spoken about how trans musician Sophie, who died last January, helped serve as inspiration for her take on the show and the character.

“What I love about Sophie’s music is this combo of organic and electrical, industrial-type sounds that felt connected to She-Hulk,” she told Empire Magazine last month.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ August 18, and in the meantime, you can watch Maslany casually supporting trans rights in the video below.
