This TikTok is too brutal.

A viral TikTok of “mean gays” savagely turning away someone they invited over to hook up is so real it’s giving some viewers flashbacks.

Aaron Goldenberg frequently posts humorous skits to his TikTok, including a series of POV videos he creates with Jake Jonez in which they play “mean gays” who love tearing people down in the most deadpan fashion.

Their recent video, labeled “POV: the Mean Gays invite you over to have some ‘fun,’” really made a splash, drawing in over four million views on TikTok in addition to going viral on Twitter. The premise is that they’re disappointed once the guy they met on an app shows up at their door, taking subtle but brutal digs at him over inaccurate photos and dehydrated skin, before fully kicking him out of their place.

Replying to @mariasoria164 ✨they love to host✨

The skits work so well because, unfortunately, this brand of “mean gay” totally exists in the wild, as evidenced by the number of viewers who felt attacked by the relatability of the faux scenario.

The TikTok actually went viral enough that Goldenberg and Jonez responded in character, reading some of the tweets out loud and keeping up the schtick.

Replying to @Camille ✨they’re so brave for this✨

And if these aren’t enough, don’t worry, they’ve got plenty of other videos to check out as well—if you're brave enough to sit through them and bask in the judgment.
