Is Jigsaw From The 'SAW' Movies Bi? Why Fans Think He Just Came Out

With SAW X hitting screens this week, we’re learning more about its iconic anti-hero.

Here’s one you definitely didn’t have on your 2023 bingo card. John Kramer, aka Jigsaw from the SAW films, has seemingly come out as bi on Lionsgate’s (the studio behind the films) official Twitter. And you know what, werk.

The cheeky video sees Kramer framed in a ring with the colors of the Bisexual Pride flag, set to the tune of “Literally My Life” by Eva Gutowski. The video juxtaposes the upbeat lyrics to a series of medieval torture devices and ends again with Kramer seemingly claiming his bi identity with the pride flag colors.

Is it the most overt coming out? No, but we’ll take it. And the fans, they are all over it in the comments.

he's so silly #sawx #tiktokhalloween

“DOES THIS MEAN JOHN KRAMER IS CANON BI HELLO,” wrote user Casper.

“BI JOHN KRAMER CONFIRMED OH MY GODDD??!11!??,” added Rot@Brainz.

“if u showed this to people in 2004 they’d have a heart attack,” wrote user Nish.

“the flag????? Does this mean bisexual jigsaw is canon now?” asked Kade |.

“Lionsgate, as a raging bi who was brought up on horror films… are you trying to tell me John Cramer is one of us??,” itsme_aj467

“NOT FROM THE OFFICIAL ACCOUNT,” wrote fruitiest saw fan

I hope the social media folks responsible for this know you’ve just made my whole damn year lol,” added Maeflowers95

It’s clear that Lionsgate is having a blast hyping the latest entry in the SAW canon. The film, which arrives in theaters this Friday, sees the return of John Kramer (Tobin Bell) and Amanda (Shawnee Smith) and is set chronologically between the events of SAW and SAW II. SAW X will explore Kramers’ most personal chapter when “a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.”

Stay tuned for PRIDE’s review of SAW X later this week and our interviews with the director, producers, and production designer who break down the new film and tease the future of the SAW universe. Check out the trailer below.
