It’s not uncommon for celebrities to use social media to come out to their followers. It’s a little less uncommon for them to drop a note that they might be gay on Instagram as their plane makes an emergency landing.

But that’s exactly what DJ and producer Diplo did earlier this week.

“Dear Columbus and Minneapolis, my jet windows just cracked open and the pilots are wearing masks so not sure ill make my shows tonight but they left the wifi on so I’m just going to sit in the back and smoke toad venmo and Vlog,” he wrote, alongside a harrowing photo of the aforementioned cracked window.

“Also i never told you this but I might [be] gay…”

After he survived the ordeal, he amended the post to say “we landed and no one died I still might be gay.”

This certainly isn’t the first time Diplo has made comments about his sexuality, and it’s not the first time he’s been kinda obvious but not exactly straightforward either.

In 2016, he made a comment to Angel Haze on Twitter that he’s “only half gay.”

And back in January of this year, he responded to a fan’s insinuation that watching Gossip Girl makes him gay by tweeting “masculinity is a prison.”

We have no idea if he's just joking around, or how Diplo actually identifies (gay, "half gay," xoxo Gossip Girl…) but damn, if he really did just come out as a plane was crashing down…that’s going to be a tough one for any other spectacle-loving celebrity to beat.
