Popular Minecraft streamer Ranboo just came out, and fans are hyping him up.

18-year-old Ranboo is among the more private streamers, always keeping his face covered and his real identity secret. Fans have speculated about his sexuality over the two years he’s been active on YouTube and Twitch, but he’s kept mum on the topic until now.

On Sunday, he did a Twitter Q&A inviting fans to ask him personal questions. One asked him what his favorite moment in the Netflix series Heartstopper, which revolves around queer boys falling in love, might be. He replied, before linking a number of previous tweets he wrote alluding to being attracted to men and writing “I mean how many more clues can I give.”

A few minutes later, Ranboo clarified that he was serious by writing “/srs” on his main Twitter, which he later responded to with a clip from Heartstopper that shows one of the protagonists taking a quiz that rates him “62% homosexual.”

“For those confused basically I guess I am technically unlabeled as the way I have kinda always gone around life just being attracted to whoever I am attracted to it just so happens that most of them line up with a ‘certain type’ you could say,” he wrote, before adding that he is “okay with the gay label,” alongside a smile face emoticon.

Fans and peers were psyched about his decision to open up, and shared messages of support in response.

“Thanks for being here everyone I’m feeling very happy,” Ranboo later tweeted. “Gonna make so much cool stuff this year and it means a lot to have you guys be here while I’m doing it.”

Rachel Kiley is presumably a writer and definitely not a terminator. She can usually be found crying over queerbaiting in the Pitch Perfect franchise or on Twitter, if not both.
