RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 contestant is getting ready to walk down the aisle after she announced that she got engaged. The All Stars 2 winner shared the exciting news that she and her longtime partner, Matthew Herrmann, are getting married in a post uploaded to Instagram on Monday.

She uploaded a photo of her hand sporting a silver wedding band and a caption that has two wedding ring emojis and two heart-filled smiley faces. The Drag: The Musical star gave Entertainment Weekly an exclusive statement on how the engagement happened, saying he popped the question after a celebration for her grandma's 90th birthday party. "I love him so much," she told the publication.

Alaska was met with love from her fans and her fellow Drag Race contestants, who showered her with supportive messages in the comments. She received "congratulations" comments from queens like Bosco, Denali Fox, Shea Couleé, Arrietty, Kandy Muse, Acacia Forgot, Peppermint, and even the dating app Grindr.

Not much has been made public about Alaska and her fiancé's relationship, but he is her biggest fan. On his Instagram, he shares photos of her and her achievements, with congratulatory captions telling her how proud he is of her.

Before Herrmann, Alsaka was romantically linked to her fellow RPDR alum, Sharon Needles. She was involved with the season 4 winner until about 2013 when they decided to call it quits.
