        Netflix's Boots introduced fans to a new cast full of out queer representation not only with characters, but also with the actors themselves. It’s also been fantastic to see how their straight costars are fully comfortable having fun, making social media content together, and just being silly with other. No toxic masculinity and homophobia here, that’s for sure.

George R.R. Martin's world is home to plenty of LGBTQ+ characters, but not all of them have made it to television. As HBO continues to expand its Game of Thrones franchise, we're keeping track of every LGBTQ+ character who has appeared on-screen in Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, and future series as they're released. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms may not have brought any queer characters to the screen yet — but we'll be ready whenever the next one joins the epic saga. In recent years, Love Island USA has distinguished itself from the sea of tropical, horny reality dating shows, to become something of a longform sociological study in heterosexual dating. Going deeper than the mere interpersonal drama that seems to consume most of its contemporaries, the Peacock hit series offers lots of fodder for public commentary about modern dating, and especially how it intersects with misogyny, race, colorism, and class. 
In a way, Love Island USA is the heterosexual Hunger Games, the villa is the arena, and we, the viewers, are all peering into the panopticon each night, rooting for our victors and voting out our villains based largely on how they interact with and embody these systems — and of course, we also do pay attention to how genuine their connections seem.
