The legendary drag festival Wigstock is finally being revived for a new generation!

Lady Bunny and Neil Patrick Harris have joined Wigstock's producers David Burtka, Bruce Cohen, Jason Weinberg, and Matador Content to team up with Pride Media (parent company to your favorite LGBT publications like The Advocate and OUT) and re-create the iconic drag festival that dominated drag and LGBTQ+ culture from 1985 to 2001.

Set for it's grand opening on Saturday, September 1, the day-long extravaganza will be held atop the roof at Pier 17 in New York City!

"When Wigstock started in 1985, the LGBTQ+ community was in desperate need of an event where everyone could pull out their wigs and come together, with the help of some glitter, glitz and a glue gun or two," Lady Bunny said in a statement.

"Through fearlessness and fake eyelashes, Wigstock connected the LGBTQ+ community and its straight allies for two decades, while breaking down stereotypes and helping everyone to love and understand each other more," said Harris.
