House of Representatives to Vote on DADT Repeal Bill Wednesday

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tweeted Tuesday that the House will vote Wednesday on Rep. Patrick Murphy’s stand alone bill to repeal “don’t ask , don’t tell.”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tweeted Tuesday that the House will vote Wednesday on Rep. Patrick Murphy’s stand alone bill to repeal “don’t ask , don’t tell.”

The tweet reads: “The House will vote on Rep. Patrick Murphy's standalone #DADT repeal bill tomorrow-Senate action on #DADT is long overdue.”

Murphy introduced the bill early Tuesday afternoon. The Murphy bill is identical to the Senate repeal bill introduced Friday by Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine).
