Light Up the Night Protest: In Photos

On Dec. 20 thousands of gay marriage supporters took to the streets to peacefully demonstrate against Prop. 8, the hateful legislation that ended gay marriage in California. Just the day before, Prop. 8's supporters filed to nullify the thousands of same-sex marriages that occurred between June and the November election.

Join the Impact, the organization responsible for organizing the national rallies that occurred just a week after the election during which Prop. 8 passed and gay marriage was overturned in California urged people nationwide to join Light up the Night for Equal Rights. Below are photos from the protest that began at the United Methodist Church in Hollywood and proceeded around the city's famed Hollywood and Highland.
