Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin is partnering with GLAAD and wearing purple this Wednesday in support of LGBT youth and putting an end to bullying in schools.
Millions of Americans have committed on Facebook to wearing the color purple on October 20 — “Spirit Day” — to remember youth lost to anti-LGBT bullying.
"I will be wearing purple this Wednesday," said Zarin. "No child should be the victim of bullying, and as parents, we need to teach our children that everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are."
GLAAD also announced that Zarin will serve as host of the 9th Annual GLAAD OUTAuction on November 21, 2010, in New York City. The auction will feature works by emerging artists and live auction pieces by artists including Herb Ritts and Salvador Dali.
