UConn Women's Basketball Makes Lead Story on Sportscenter

It finally happened on ESPN the UConn Womens' Basketball Team was the headline story on Sportscenter. UConn is closing in on UCLA'S record of 88 wins in a row many years ago.  If UConn can keep winning and catch UCLA the boys are just going to have to sit back and view these girls go to the top of the Sports Heap.

It finally happened on ESPN! The UConn Women's Basketball Team was the headline story on Sportscenter. UConn is closing in on UCLA'S record of 88 wins in a row many years ago.  If UConn can keep winning and catch UCLA, the boys are just going to have to sit back and watch as these girls go to the top of the Sports Heap.

I am crazy proud of any team from the great State of Wisconsin but I can't help but jump on the UConn bandwagon.

It is NCAA Womens' basketball tournament time and girls if you are out there pulling for Stanford, Nebraska, Tennessee or Oklahoma -- good luck.  Forget it, they don't stand a chance against UConn.  This team doesn't just win games, they destroy their opponents. With any luck, you may have a shot at watching the second half of a game with one team being within 10 points of UConn, but thats about it.

The so called experts say it is bad for the game that UConn has won 72 games in a row. The powers that be at ESPN do not really want to talk about womens' sports but let North Carolina or Kansas go 50 in a row on the mens' side and we never hear the end of it.

Please note girls, it only helps if you watch the tournament on television and get the ratings up.

Also just for your information this article is in no way being written in order to suck up to SheWired's editor Tracy -- who happens to be from Connecticut.
