JoJo Siwa and Avery Cyrus's Breakup Just Got Messy AF
Was this all about clout chasing from the start?
JoJo Siwa and Avery Cyrus’s recent breakup is getting a little messy.
News of the couple’s split broke over the weekend when Cyrus shared a video that included Siwa handing her a prize from some sort of game and saying, “This is my ‘sorry for breaking up with you’ present.”
Things escalated when JoJo’s mother, Jessalynn Siwa, for some reason posted a video of her daughter pacing around claiming that she “got used for views and for clout.”
“And I got tricked into being told that I was loved. And I got fucking played,” she said.

While neither mention Cyrus by name in the video, the fact that the breakup occurred so recently has people making the assumption that it is what has Siwa so upset.
The two dated for less than three months, shortly after jumping out of more serious relationships, which had fans wondering from the beginning if the pairing was some sort of PR situation rather than a legitimate connection.
But Cyrus is disputing claims that their relationship was a fraud.
“From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends,” she told E! News. “The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family.”
She also added that was “very hurt” Siwa broke things off with her and is now “saddened and confused by the situation,” seemingly referring to the video posted by Jessalyn.
It seems like the drama may continue to play out in the public eye for some time, as Siwa followed up by appearing to shade Cyrus in a TikTok posted today.
There, she seemed to accuse her ex of telling “one of my best friends that you were excited to be dating me bc you’re ‘growing your career and wanna get to the top.’”
“And when I said I just wanted to be friends so I didn’t lead you on after an unplanned hookup you wanted nothing to do with me because there was nothing to gain anymore,” she wrote.

Cyrus was born on May 23, 2000.
Siwa has been romantically linked to Kylie Prew and Avery Cyrus.
