"They're right to fear me."

The first trailer for 20th Century Fox's latest X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, officially dropped late last night!

Although this isn't the first time we've seen fan-favorite mutant Jean Grey turn into her more powerful (and unstable) Phoenix form on the big screen (it happened in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, but we don't like to talk about that movie...), it's still exciting to see such a dynamic and complicated character get the Hollywood shine she so rightfully deserves!

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner will be playing the titular character (reprising her role from X-Men: Apocalypse), and will be starring alongside returning X-Men franchise players Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Nicholas Hoult. Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain also joins the cast as the mysterious, silver-haired villain named Smith

Watch the first trailer for Dark Phoenix in the video below! And catch Dark Phoenix when it hits theaters on June 7, 2019!
