On a recent episode of Hollywood Today Live, openly gay host and TV personality Ross Mathews recounted how he finally met bisexual popstar, LGBT activist, and recent Super Bowl halftime show performer Lady Gaga for the first time, and how magical of an experience it was for him.
The two met on the set of RuPaul's Drag Race (Gaga is set to guest star on the season 9 premiere and Mathews is a frequent judge), and although Ross frequently rubs elbows with Hollywood's elite, he gushed excitedly to his co-hosts about how it felt finally getting to interact with Mother Monster—and the special secret she had to tell him.
"She takes my hands, and she says 'I've got something to tell you. Do you remember the Golden Globes?'" Ross said after earlier recalling how they made eye contact at last year's Golden Globes ceremony.
He continued:
"She goes, 'I was so scared. That's not my world. I'm a singer. This is for actors and movie stars. I was petrified. I was literally shaking in my hotel room...and then I turned and looked at the TV, and you were on. And do you know what you said? 'You said, I can't wait to see Gaga!' And then she goes, 'And I took a deep breath, and I said out loud, 'Let's do this for Ross.'"
