The happy couple will be able to make honest women of one another when they return home to Maryland, which joined Maine and Washington in taking the historic step of legalizing marriage equality by popular vote on Tuesday. HuffPo has the adorable photo which you simply must see.

Congratulations to Patterson and Ha — and all of the loving LGBT couples who can now marry the person they love in nine states and Washington, D.C. According to the Williams Institute, one in five same-sex couples in the country now live in states that recognize their right to marry the person they love, regardless of gender.

This is what progress looks like, folks.
