Today marks the launch of a new clothing line specifically for butch, gender-non-conforming, and tomboyish ladies. Designers Emma Mcilroy and Julia Parsley quit their big, corporate jobs with Nike to follow their passion and design an entire clothing line for tomboys, and gave their new company the moniker "Wildfang," which is German for "tomboy."

The line's website explains that Wildfang is "not a brand. We are a band. More specifically, we are a band of thieves; modern-day, female Robin Hoods raiding men's closests and maniacally dispensing blazers, cardigans, wingtips and bowlers as we roam from town to town in these stolen styles of outs. Like you, we are tomboys, but like you were are also friends and sisters, heroines and hellions, rascals, rockers, shapeshifters and trendsetters. We're here to liberate menswear one bowtie at time and we're doing it ourselves because we want it done right."

Tomboys are in good company with Wildfang representatives and fierce out ladies like Megan Rapinoe, and Gossip's Hannah Billie, in addition to The L Word's Kate Moennig, and Laurel Pantin, and Nadia Sarwar.

Get to know Wildfang in the video below, and check out the rocking tomboy style for yourself at Wildfang.com.
