Ryan Gosling is joining Barbie's world.

The beloved actor from La La Land and The Notebook will play Ken in Warner Bros'. upcoming live-action Barbie movie.

Gosling stars in the film opposite Margot Robbie whose company, LuckyChap, is producing the movie. Robbie will play the titular role of Barbie. Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Little Women) is signed on to direct and write alongside her husband Noah Baumbach. 

According to Entertainment Weekly, the live-action film will be "an unconventional take" in the franchise, though we're not quite sure what that means. 

The movie's plot is still unclear but it will go into production some time next year.
