The out songstress debuted a track of her forthcoming album, Heart On My Sleeve, Thursday night in Los Angeles.

It's no secret that we here at SheWired have a serious collective crush on out singer-songwriter Mary Lambert

So it's probably unsurprising that SheWired's editor-in-chief and one of our editors (yours truly) jumped at the chance to attend a private, industry-only preview Thursday night where Lambert performed several tracks off her forthcoming album, Heart On My Sleeve

Taking the makeshift stage on the back patio of Los Angeles speakeasy No Vacancy, Lambert and her band performed three new tracks, a touching rendition of "She Keeps Me Warm," and a fabulous, gayed-up and angsty cover of "Teenage Dirtbag."

Of course, we wouldn't want to keep all the fun — and fierce femme vocals — to ourselves, so without further ado, we present a sneak preview of "When You Sleep," off Mary Lambert's new album, Heart On My Sleeve

Psst — you can pre-order Lambert's debut full-length album, which drops October 15, right here

And if you want to get to know Lambert a bit better — complete with her penchant for oversharing — check out her profile at our sibling site, The Advocate, where's she's listed among this year's 40 under 40 honorees.
