After today, pop music lovers all over will probably be finding themselves in a state of confusion more intense than Adele's confusion after she won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2017. Following nomination announcements for the 2018 Grammy Awards, the alarming amount of snubs in mainstream categories has left fans...perplexed.
Among this year's surprising mainstream snubs are the likes of Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Kesha, The Weekend, Miley Cyrus, and many, many others.
We're used to the annual awards show celebrating some of the year's best (mostly mainstream) artists, however, this year might feel a little sparce—and we're not okay with it.
As can be expected in these dark times, stans on the internet took to Twitter to sound off, with much gnashing of teeth.
