Saro Creates His Soundtrack of Pride

Saro Creates His Soundtrack of Pride

"These songs are a part of who I am."

We all have those songs that are forever ingrained in our coming-of-age stories. Songs that gave us hope, played during our first kiss, helped us feel fierce, or simply helped us understand ourselves a little bit better. This is oftentimes particularly true for LGBTQ artists.

Throughout the month of June, and only on PRIDE, LGBTQ+ artists are curating and sharing playlists that reflect their formative years—their Soundtracks of Pride

Meet Saro, an experimental R&B artist from Los Angeles.

"My queer formative years are still unfolding and will probably continue for the rest of my life," he told PRIDE. "Here are some of my favorite queer (to my knowledge) artists and songs that have touched me over the years. Whether they've made me feel some sort of solidarity, feel like it's okay to cry, or just plain feel like a bad bitch, these songs are a part of who I am."

Check out Saro's playlist below!
