Miss California USA Carrie Prejean who lost her crown after all has yet again turned herself into a laughing stock when giving her version of the reasons why she was fired, according to
Perez.
Ignorant or in denial, the controversial pageant beauty told
Access Hollywood in an exclusive post-Donald firing interview conducted by Billy Bush that she wasn't quite sure why she was dethroned
"Well, that's the first that I know about that, Billy. I was just talking to my lawyer and I just got a phone call from you and I've gotten some text messages saying 'Hey, is this really true?' and I said, 'True about what?' and they said, 'That you've been fired.' I started to laugh because everyone's been cooperating and everyone's been getting along so well. This is the first that I've heard of it. This is funny to me. I have no idea what's going on."
Prejean, who came under fire for her answer to a question about gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant, a controversy that was fueled further when racy photos of the 'California' girl surfaced, also stated:
"It is just because of my answer I think. None of this would be happening right now if I had just said,'Yeah gays should get married," and later added "What's behind this I think is a political debate. They don't agree with the stance that I took [on Prop 8]. Shanna [Moakler] is trying to bash me. They don't like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted."
Prejean was fired on the grounds of continued breach of contract issues.
"This was a decision based solely on contract violations including Ms. Prejean's unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization," Keith Lewis, the pageant's executive director, said in a statement.
