Wanda Sykes in the White House

Comedienne and out, anti-Prop 8 advocate Wanda Sykes announced she will emcee the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner this year.  The affair will take place on May 9th in Washington D.C. with A-List gusts from the political elite, White House Press corps and Hollywood celebs. And, President Obama, of course.

The comedienne and out, anti-Prop 8 advocate announced she will emcee the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner this year.  The affair will take place on May 9th in Washington D.C. with A-List gusts from the political elite, White House Press corps and Hollywood celebs.

The biggest star in attendance will surely be President Brack Obama, who Wanda warns, isn’t off limits in the least. Sykes aims to “poke fun and ridicule," the room and hinted she might make reference to the eloquent President, adding he can get "a little long-winded. So we can get him on that."

Sykes admitted the high profile gig was “scary but very exciting, [but] the first thing I did when they asked me to do this gig… I made sure my taxes were paid," joked the New Adventures of Old Chrisitne star.

But she has high hopes, both four our new President and the event, concluding, "I'm not rooting against him at all, because, especially in this economy and everything, we need him to succeed," she says. "But there's gonna be some incidents and missteps.”
