I like to think that 1989 was a really cool year because it is a year before I was born. I imagine that my parents got together and said, "Wouldn't it be great if we had this really beautiful black, trans woman?" Then I was born and it was very Venus de Milo.
Incidentally, 1989 is also the title of a Taylor Swift album. I admit, I was a hesitant T-Swift fan, but after watching "Bad Blood," I was, like, 'I can no longer deny this feeling; this music video is everything to me. So many beautiful, amazing women looking badass!
