Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell walked off the set during an interview today with Piers Morgan because the host asked about gay rights issues and wouldn't stop.

"I don't think it's relevant," O'Donnell said in defiance of being questioned about gay marriage. "It's not a topic that I choose to embrace. It's not what I am championing right now. I have been there, done that, gone down that road."

O'Donnell, who is promoting a new memoir, said her goal was to talk about how to "bring America back to the second American Revolution."

But Morgan pressed her, noting that he'd read the book, and that it talked about the very things he was asking about.

"Do you talk about gay marriage in the book?" he asked in his own defense.

"What relevance is that right now?" O'Donnell said, conceding that she does "talk about my religious beliefs, yeah."

After Morgan asked about O'Donnell's stance on whether "don't ask, don't tell" should be reinstated, the failed candidate for U.S. Senate from Delaware began looking off set and then announced that she was supposed to be somewhere else, speaking at a Republican women's club.

Morgan asked her, "Why are you being so weird about this?"

O'Donnell objected, "I'm not being weird, you're being a little rude."
