It’s no secret that MSNBC host Rachel Maddow is adored by many on the political left, but a few higher-ups on the political right have shared their fandom of the host as well. Maddow, who is on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's political issue may not be beloved by Fox News competitor Sean Hannity. Still, other network regulars like Sarah Palin and former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele have had positive experiences with the liberal lesbian pundit. Steele told the Reporter that he and Maddow "just click.”
Maddow also told a story about the first time she met former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin while the amateur mixologist was tending bar at a White House Correspondents' Dinner after party in April. Fox News host Greta Van Susteren introduced her to Palin, who complimented an MSNBC ad that showed Maddow sitting on the floor amid a stack of papers. "She thought it reflected well on us that we had chosen to highlight the work ethic behind the show," Maddow said. "And I thought that was an insightful analysis and a really nice thing to say.”
