Madonna's New Vogue Germany Collab Serves Up High Fashion & Feminism

Madonna honored International Women's Day this week by releasing a 12-part short film in collaboration with Vogue Germany titled "Her-Story," directed by Luigi & Lango. The film mixes butch, suit-clad looks with both soft and rough androgynous ones, and begins with a political declaration regarding normativity and the dangers of being queer.

"Welcome to the revolution of love. To our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny. Where not just women are in danger, but all marginalized people. Where being uniquely different might truly be considered a crime. The revolution starts here."
