The 'Mean Girls' Broadway Musical Is Finally Here and We're Way Too Excited

Last night at the August Wilson Theatre, New York theater goers were finally able to sit at the Plastics' lunch table, pretty in pink, indulging in the opening night festivities of Broadway's musical adaptation of the classic teen comedy Mean Girls.

The new musical debuted in the Big Apple with a ton of early 2000s nostalgia, and we wouldn't be surprised if this musical is going to be Broadway's next biggest hit.

Featuring a book by Tina Fey (the mastermind behind the original 2004 film), an upbeat score by Fey's husband Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by Nell Benjamin, the show is certain to capture all the best parts of Fey's iconic writing and humor, while bringing a new flare to a story that has become something of a pop culture icon.

The cast also features the talents of Erika Henningsen (Les Misérables) as Cady Heron, clique queen Taylor Louderman (Kinky Boots) as Regina George, Ashley Park (Sunday in the Park with George) as Gretchen Wieners, and Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages) as Karen Smith.
