Shantay, you stay, Chris Pine!

The Star Trek star lip-synched for his life on Saturday Night Live this week, in a skit in which he portrayed an auto mechanic who is also a closeted RuPaul's Drag Race fan.

In the video, Pine's character cautiously broaches the topic of Drag Race with his coworkers in an auto body shop. After testing the waters, it is revealed that all the macho men have been secret fans of the drag competition on VH1.

The skit ends with Pine "lip-synching for his life" — a popular part of Drag Race in which two compeititors must face off in a battle of dance and synchronized lip movement.

Pine also explained to SNL's viewers the definition of "tuck": "When you tape your hot dog down between your buns so you have that flat crotch look." He's also a fan of Trinity Taylor, a contestant on this season of Drag Race, who recently opened up about how cancer impacted her family.

This is not the first time SNL has parodied LGBT entertainment this year. The sketch series also spoofed Logo's Fire Island — a steamy show about gay men summering in a house together — with an "affluent lesbian" version, "Cherry Grove." The skits follow the ascendance of out man Chris Kelly to the position of a co-head writer of the NBC show.
