Season 2 was one for the books!

HBO Max's hit teen drama Euphoria came to an explosive conclusion with Sunday's finale, cementing itself as a pop culture phenomenon, and fans are already clamoring for more.
Many questions remain up in the air for the upcoming season. Can Rue stay clean? Will Cassie and Maddy mend their friendship? Is Call going to jail? Is Ashray alive? Will Fez ever recover? Will Elliot ever finish his song? And where is the sex trafficker Rue owes $8,000 to?
So what do we know about season 3? Here's everything so far.
Season 3 will likely premiere in 2024.
Zendaya recently liked a tweet that read “tomorrow is really the last episode of euphoria until 2024 huh,” which lends credibility to this theory. It was also revealed by production on the show that each episode takes about a month to film. Keeping both of those in mind, 2024 sounds about right.
Dominic Fike will return for season 3.
Prepare your patience for mid guitar songs because Elliot will return for Euphoria's third season. Fike joined the cast in season 2 and quickly became a fan favorite charatcer. He recently told Jimmy Fallon that he would "absolutely" be back for season 3, so we all have that to look forward to! But if he sings again, maybe just stick to one verse and one chorus and call it a day.
Ashtray's fate is still up in the air.
In a new Variety interview with Javon Walton, the actor who plays Ashtray, the 15-year-old reveals that Fez was actually supposed to die in the finale until a last-minute script change the day before shooting. He goes on to say that Ashtray might not even be dead. "There’s definitely hope for Ashtray to still be alive. Because if there’s somebody who could take a bullet in the show, it’s Ashtray. Ashtray is one badass kid. He’s not playing around. I believe he has a shot about being around for Season 3."
There might be redemption for Cal Jacobs.
In the finale episode, Nate confronts his father, Cal, at a "post-sex party" and calls the police with the intent of handing over a USB of all of his recorded sexual escapades. Actor Eric Dane told Variety that his fate isn't quite as cinched as it might seem. "Moving forward, there would be some healing between the two of them. I don’t know where we’re going to find Cal. We could find him in the SHU Program at Pelican Bay next season. Hopefully not. You know, he may not turn in that thumb drive, you know, and therefore the cops just grab me and then it’s all a big mistake."
After reiterating that it makes sense to see the show's return in 2024, Dane adds that "there's gonna be redemption" for Cal. "That’s the trajectory he’s on. I can’t imagine Cal’s life from solitary confinement. It’s tough to work Cal into the storyline when he’s behind bars."
Filming will "maybe" pick up in November 2022.
At least that's what Dane says in his interview with Variety before adding, "I don’t know. I haven’t heard. It’s always going to be changing."
