SheWired's Rachel Paulson recently sat down with master chef Susan Feniger and filmmaker girlfriend Liz Lachman to find out what the two women have coming up.

Susan Feniger is known as an accomplished chef responsible for changing the landscape of the Los Angeles culinary scene. Before opening her newest, and first solo, restaurant called Street in April of 2009, Feniger collaborated with Mary Sue Milliken to open City Cafe in 1981, which soon expanded and became CITY Restaurant. In 1985, they opened Border Grill, a mexican restaurant, in the original City Cafe location, then moved it to it's current location in Santa Monica. In 1998, they opened the Latin flavor Ciudad.

Feniger has published five cookbooks, was on almost 400 episodes of Too Hot Tamales and Tamales World Tour on the Food Network, and appeared on Cooking with Master Chefs alongside Julia Child on PBS. She also prepared all the food served in the 2001 film Tortilla Soup.

Most recently, Feniger competed in the second season of Top Chef Masters, which aired in 2010. She was the final female chef, eliminated after a challenge requiring the creation of a dish fit for the gods. Feniger created a dish for Aphrodite of Kaya toast served with a soy-glazed egg and coconut jam. Competing for charity, she raised $32,500 for The Scleroderma Research Foundation, of which she is a founding board member. Feniger is also on the board of the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center.

Liz Lachman is an award-winning filmmaker and sound editor. In 1988, she won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition for a Drama Series for Santa Barbara. Lachman also wrote and directed the short film Getting to Know You, starring Dana Delany and Elizabeth Keener, which screened in more than 80 film festivals worldwide, won at nine of the festivals and played on LOGO's Best in Short Film series. Lachman recently directed and shot a reality web series starring Susan Feniger which chronicles the opening of Street, Feniger's first solo restaurant.
