Rejoice! The Fosters Has Been Renewed for A Fourth Season

The Fosters aren't going anywhere any time soon, folks.

The Fosters won't return for its Season 3 winter premiere until January 25th, but we've already learned - according to TheWrap - that a fourth season is definitely in the cards. Since basically every episode of The Fosters comes with a shocking amount of ups and downs it's hard to predict what the plotlines will be for the new season, but we're thrilled to know it will exist in the first place! Unfortuntely, with this new year comes the end of all ABC Family-related puns, since the network will be rebranding as "Freeform" in January. They will be missed, but at least The Fosters won't be.

For those of you who need a refresher before heading into the winter premiere coming up, it's important to remember that Callie has officially been adopted by the Adams Fosters, even though she just slept with her new foster bro Brandon. Jude is dealing with his boyfriend Connor moving away, and Marianna is dealing with the return of Jesus, who is also being played by a different actor, Noah Centineo (replacing Jake T. Austin). Additionally, TheWrap lists a serious medical issue that divides Stef and Lena as an upcoming plot, so we'll have to wait to see what's up with that. Can't anybody ever just be happy on this show? Answer: no. We can't wait for The Fosters to return next year, and we're even more excited to know there's more on the way!
