As usual, Jon Stewart addresses marriage equality pushback in a much more concise and entertaining manner than any of us ever could. Since, you know, the more common reaction is the tried and true “blind rage.”
As gay marriage continues to be legalized throughout the United States, conservatives are looking for any way to protect their religious freedoms (...to discriminate). This includes, as he shows, a proposed bill to “abolish marriage licenses” in Oklahoma. Because, “if we can’t have marriage all to our heteros, then no one can have it!”
Needless to say, Stewart is never without material. The jokes write themselves.
