Emma Watson — further showcasing that she is one of the biggest and best feminist icons of our time — took to her Twitter account on Tuesday to show her support for Keegan Hirst, the English athlete who made headlines recently for being the first professional rugby player to come out as gay.

Keegan then swiftly responded to Emma’s praise (because seriously, who wouldn’t love a shout out from her?!?), calling the whole exchange “surreal.”

This isn’t the first time the Beauty and the Beast actress has proven herself to be a true role model to future generations of good people, though…

She’s also tweeted her support for the Chibok girls in Nigeria who were abducted, many of whom are still missing today.

In September of last year, she made a groundbreaking speech to the United Nations headquarters on the importance of feminism and gender equality throughout the world.

This was after she was named a UN Women’s Good will ambassador, by the way.

She then launched He For She, a movement that helps empower men to fight against inequalities based on gender.

Despite reports that she was being bullied by some of her fellow classmates, she graduated from Brown University in the spring of 2014 with a degree in English literature. Proof that you shouldn’t let the haters stop you from accomplishing your goals.

If there ever came a time to chose one definitive role model for this generation, we’d def be choosing Emma.emma-watson-laughing
