    Where are all the butch women?

    If you’re anything like me, “there are lesbians in it” is enough of a recommendation to get you to watch literally any television show, regardless of the genre, tone, or even—let’s be honest—overall quality. But as regular viewers of lesbian television may have noticed, butch women are shockingly absent. Right now, Big Boo (portrayed by Lea DeLaria) on Orange is the New Black is the exception, not the rule. Here are 5 reasons we need way more butch women on TV:
