Anne Hathaway had her first onstage lesbian kiss. She lip-locks with her female co-star while in her cross-dressing Shakespeare role. Playing Viola in Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night in New York’s Central Park, she is disguised as a man for the majority of the show.
In an appearance on The View, and the ladies inquired what she did to prepare for this part.
Hathaway responded, “Well, I observed a lot of my guy friends and talked to my brother, then I decided to take it a step further by stuffing a sock down my pants.
“You stand differently, you walk around differently as a man. “The thing is she (co-star) is in love with my character as a boy, but I clearly know I am a girl. So she kisses me and I don’t want to make a fool of her. “Her lips are fabulous, pillowy soft, I mean wow.”
