One of the things we've always loved most about Adele is how relatable she is. She famously gets stage fright before every show, she has multiple stories about embarrassing herself publicly, (including a hilarious Marilynn Monroe moment with a rogue dress) and she recently forgot the lyrics to one of her own songs. But one of the most relatable things about the powerhouse singer is how strongly she fangirls over her fellow celebrities.
And the one thing she seems to fangirl over the most? The Spice Girls. Our girl has a serious love for The Spice Girls.
This weekend, Adele made headlines when she briefly covered one of the girl group's most well-known hits, "Spice Up Your Life."
Both Sporty Spice and Ginger Spice themselves (Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell, respectively) shared a fan-shot video of the moment on Twitter, with Halliwell adding "Go Adele."

This is not the first time Adele has expressed her love and admiration for The Spice Girls. In her "Carpool Karaoke" appearance with James Corden, the singer explained how the group had inspired her as a child and how they made a very real impact on her world view:
“It was a huge moment in my life when they came out. It was ‘Girl Power,’ and there were these five ordinary girls who just, like, did so well and just, like, got out. So I was like, ‘I want to get out. I don’t know what I want to get out of, but I want to get out.’ And it was a really important period of my life.”
We can't help but wonder if Adele knows that now she's that inspiration for young artists all over the world? Let's just wait 20 years until the biggest pop star of that time talks about their biggest inspiration growing up before belting out "Someone Like You."
