Woman Discovers She's in a Sexist Body-Shaming Meme, and Fired Back Hard

You just messed with the wrong woman, buddy.

Meet Lesego Legobane.

Legobane is a model, photographer, and body-positive blogger and activist in South Africa, who has a massive following on Instagram and Twitter for her stunning photos and all-around awesomeness.

So when another popular South African Twitter user, Leyton Mokgerepi, included her photo in a body-shaming meme, Legobane was not having it.

And she gave the perfect, concise response:

Twitter clearly agreed.

Perhaps in response to the blowback, Mokgerepi did a complete 180, tweeting out Legobane's photo once again:

But Twitter just laughed in his face:

The other woman in the original meme, Joëlle Kayembe, even weighed in:

Kayembe told Buzzfeed Newsthat she was not flattered by her inclusion in the meme, saying, "It was not a well thought out compliment, if that is what he was trying achieve. And to use one woman's picture (mine in this case) to body-shame another is just rude and unnecessary!"

Legobane said she was "overwhelmed by the love" that she's been given on Twitter, with several women praising her for inspiring them to be more confident about themselves and their bodies.

"It means a lot to me that I can change someone's perception about their physical appearance by loving my own," she said.

Truly a beautiful woman, both inside and out:
