Two outspoken bisexual celebrities are heading to divorce court this fall.
One of the super-sexy stars of Showtime’s original lesbian series The L Word has officially filed for divorce. According to TMZ, Laurel Holloman, who played Tina Kennard on the series, filed papers asking a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge to end her nine-year marriage to architect Paul Machery. The couple, who have been separated since 2010, have two daughters and plan to share custody. The tabloid website reports that Holloman, who blames the split on irreconcilable differences, has asked the judge to block Machery from obtaining spousal support. Holloman was famous for her role on The L Word but came out long ago, after she starred in the 1995 lesbian film The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love.
Also in court this fall: bisexual model Adrianne Curry, whose five-year marriage to Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight is coming to an end, according to Reuters. The winner of America’s Next Top Model season 1, Curry met Knight while the two were castmates on The Surreal Life. They parlayed their marriage into their own reality show, VH1’s My Fair Brady, which ended in 2008.
Curry made an It Gets Better video for LGBT youth in 2010 and has been open about her sexuality since Top Model. Her past relationships with women were often a point of contention between her and Knight, who reportedly feared Curry was gay, and on one famous episode of My Fair Brady when Knight called her a lesbian, Curry broke down in tears yelling, “I'm not a lesbian! I'm a Chris-ian.”
