Blanco is one part singer, one part writer and all parts humble. Looking at her, most people expect to hear her rap, but instead her music is a soulful and sexy fusion of jazz, neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop. When you hear her music, her Bronx accent gives away where she is from, but the tone of her voice carries with it a truth and a conficence that lulls you in and keeps you coming back.

What gives Blanco an edge not usually heard from other musicians is that she makes her music based on what she feels, not what is commercially popular. She sticks to what feels good - what she knows - so she can give listeners something they can actually relate to.

She writes music about love and relationships - the good and bad times. Blanco shows she is proud to be out in her debut video "Make Me Feel," despite not really talking about it unless someone asks (because, she says, "I’m not a 'lesbian artist.' I’m an artist who happens to be a lesbian"). She writes her music for all genders.

Profiled in magazines such as Ikons, XI and No Labelz, to name a few, Blanco has been labeled as ‘Who's Up Next!’ Her many features and collaborations have helped her gain respect as a artist and writer, sparking her nomination for Best Singer/Solo Artist of 2010 by The Urban Lyfe Awards.

With hits like "Oowwee," "Come Across the Room" and "Rock Me Baby," she guarantees to set the mood whether it be the dance floor or bedroom. Blanco’s music transcends boundaries - be it age, gender, genre or sexuality.

Blanco just released her first video, "Make Me Feel," and is working on tracks for her official project to be released sometime in 2012. Check out her video below, and be sure to subscribe to the Blanco The Silent Celebrity YouTube channel, and follow her on Twitter!
