Grey’s Anatomy season 8 kicks off tonight, so in anticipation of the big premiere, we at Shewired wanted to give you the low down on what we can expect down the road for our favorite lady loves at Seattle Grace.
The folks over at Wet Paint Entertainment interviewed Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) last week and Capshaw confirmed that the duo will have a much less dramatic story arc this season.
“Married life is good for them!” Jessica said. “We had so much going on towards the end of last year that this season is so laid back for us, Arizona and Callie are there, we’re doing things but there’s no main spotlight on them. Believe me, it will come again!”
It sounds like the characters will be doing their mommy thing this season. Where the only drama they face is grumpiness due to loss of sleep, diaper duty and the occasional temper tantrum that all new mothers contend with on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis.
Good for them, it’s about time they had some stability. With their numerous breakups, Callie’s uncomfortable coming out episode with her dad, and the life threatening car accident that almost took the life of our favorite ortho surgeon, we’re glad to see it.
Stay strong ladies, you are role models for us all!
Grey’s Anatomy premieres Thursday, September 22 at 9pm on ABC.
