'True Blood's' Vedette Lim Slated to Work Side By Side with Jessica Capshaw on 'Grey's Anatomy'

This bit of news must surely have sprung from the brilliant mind of a casting director obsessed with lesbian pop culture. Vedette Lim, who played Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) fierce fighter girlfriend Naomi on True Blood this season is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy, according to TV Guide.

Lim’s slated to play Dr. Polly Preston, who will shake things up on the peds floor as she arrives at Seattle Grace under a pediatric fellowship that will have her working closely with the brilliant, and adorable, Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw).

TV Guide reports that Arizona will take a shining to Dr. Preston and will begin to favor her over her current protégé Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), resulting in Arizona ousting Karev from her cases to work with Preston.

But for the sake of Primetime’s most beloved and enduring female couple, Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona, here’s hoping Arizona’s fondness for Preston remains strictly professional. Following Callie and Arizona’s rollercoaster ride of a relationship last season, which included a break-up, a continental divide, a baby with an ex, a make-up, a two mommies and a baby daddy scenario, a car accident that resulted in near death and finally a lesbian wedding, Calzona could use a little stability!
