HBO’s scorcher vamp hit True Blood will premiere its fifth season on June 10, MSNBC reports.
The 12-episode season promises to offer plenty of sex, action, and drama, which is exactly what die-hard fans love about the show.
There’s no word yet if the show’s bi-sexual character, Tara (Rutina Wesley) will return. If you watched the Season 4 finale, you will remember that Tara was shot in the head while protecting her best friend Sookie (Anna Paquin) from Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) crazy ex Debbie (Brit Morgan).
During the off-season, Alan Ball, the series show runner, revealed that fan favorite Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) is returning this season to settle a HUGE score with Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård). He also confirmed that SVU’s Chris Meloni was cast as a powerful vampire named Roman.
It’s looking like fans of the show will get all the vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, and telepathic fairies that they can handle. Fantastic!
