Here’s a synopsis of the book by writer and stand-up comic Dan Curry:
Holly X is the Kung-Fu Lesbian, and her story begins on the gritty San Francisco streets of 1976. Holly’s father, a nameless and enigmatic karate master with ties to the underworld, enlists her help to deliver a mysterious document known as “The Master Plan” to his secret hideaway in Mexico. On the way, she stops in Bakersfield to rekindle a love affair with Heidi, a brilliant physics major, peyote freak and roller derby badass. After killing Heidi’s racist and homophobic step-mother in self-defense, the pair try and escape south of the border as a rogues’ gallery of cut-throat thieves and killers attempt to hunt them down and steal “The Master Plan.”
