Openly bisexual actress Evan Rachel Wood married longtime beau Jamie Bell (best known for his titular role in Billy Elliot) on Tuesday in Los Angeles, according to US Weekly. Wood, 25, and Bell, 26, got hitched in a small, private ceremony with family and friends. The couple met in 2005 when they costarred in Green Day's music video for "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and dated for a year before taking a hiatus — during which Wood was engaged to rocker Marilyn Manson — and reunited in 2011. Bell proposed earlier this year, and the couple picked up a marriage license in Los Angeles on October 17, according to E! News.
As a teen Wood starred in the series Once and Again and was part of a groundbreaking kiss between teen girls on that show. She became the breakout star of the indie hit about troubled teens Thirteen and went on to play a lesbian vampire queen in True Blood. She also played gay in the Oscar bait film The Wrestler and earned an Emmy nod for her work as the spoiled rotten Veda in HBO's Mildred Pierce, which starred Kate Winslet.
Congrats to Evan and Jamie.
