Tony and Emmy and winner Cherry Jones, who took home the Emmy for her role as President Alison Taylor on Fox’s 24, is set to return to the small screen in a project with 24’s showrunner Howard Gordon, according to Deadline.

Jones, who famously won a Tony for Doubt in 2005, kissing her partner Sarah Paulson on the way to the podium, will star opposite Jason Isaacs in the NBC drama R.E.M from creator / exec producer Kyle Killen.

The show takes a cue from last year’s sci-fi hit Inception, weaving alternate realities. The show centers on Isaacs’ Detective Mark Britten, who awakes after an accident to discover he’s living dual realities, one in which he’s killed his son and one in which he has killed his wife. Jones is slated to play Dr. Stephanie Evans, Britten’s psychiatrist in the reality in which he kills his wife.

Confused yet? Let’s hope this pilot gets picked up so we can help try to unravel the mystery along with Jones’ character.
