The Cliks frontman Lucas Silveria has announced lesbian band-mates Morgan Doctor and Jen Benton are quitting the band to head out on their own. In a message posted on The Cliks' MySpace page, Silveria said the two women have "decided to leave  The Cliks to pursue their own ambitions."

"To be blunt, the road beat us up and knocked us out," Silveria said in the blog post announcement. "When we all woke up, we each saw a different road ahead. These things happen, it's that simple. I respect their decision and hope you will as well."

Silveria notes in the blog post that he is no stranger to change. "Line up changes, sex changes, you know, it's all part of the big plan." He says he is already working on replacing Morgan Doctor and Jen Benton and jokingly states: "Maybe we can have so many ongoing member changes that we can start a trading card series."

Although no specific information was given on why the girls have decided to abandon the band, one bit of Silveria's post does hint at conflict between the band members. "I am stubborn as a mule and sometimes not the easiest person to work with," Silveria writes, "but that is only because I demand and expect no less than 100% from the people I work with... and I will never apologize for it."
