Who doesn't love Fox's Glee? It turns out everyone loves the rookie musical dramedy, including the Muliticultural Motion Picture Association.
The group, created in part honor outstanding and inspiring individuals in the entertainment industry for their contribution to diverse perspectives in film and television, has tapped the cast of Glee to receive its Favorite New Television Cast Ensemble Award at its 17th annual Diversity Awards, set for Nov. 22 in Beverly Hills.
The cast is definitely diverse: Chris Colfer plays the "gay kid" Kurt Hummel, the openly gay Jane Lynch is the straight cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, Kevin McHale is cast as Artie Abrams, who happens to be disabled, and Mark Salling is the mohawked "good" Jew Noah "Puck" Puckerman.

The Diversity Awards, whose purpose also serves to promote and enhance even greater opportunities for all cultures to bring their stories and perspectives to the screen, also will honor NBC's Parks and Recreation as the Favorite New Comedy Ensemble, CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles as Favorite New Television Action Drama, ABC Family's Lincoln Heights as Favorite Family Drama Ensemble Cast and HBO as the 2009 Diversity Programming Network.
Previous recipients of the Diversity Awards include Grey's Anatomy, Salma Hayek and Oliver Stone.
This year's theme is "Celebrating Diversity — All the Right Moves, All the Right Talent — One Star at a Time" and will be held Sunday, Nov. 22 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
